Stretch Marks (Striae)

Stretch marks may appear at any part of the body, such as the breasts, shoulders, hips, buttocks and the abdomen. They may appear as pink, purplish, or pale lines on the skin. Sometimes, their appearance can be disfiguring. They may arise from pregnancy, growth, weight gain, steroid use, or even underlying illnesses.

We use a combination approach on stretch marks. The main modalities involved are radio-frequency, laser and platelet rich plasma. It is usually necessary to repeat these every few weeks for a few times to achieve satisfactory results.

A topical numbing cream applied on the skin as a local anesthetic helps to enhance the level of comfort.
